Chartres, Tours and Orléans with Anna

12 september 2017 - Tours, Frankrijk

Along the road to Tours we finally found some 'civilization' with the Lidl and bought yoghurt, cheese and of course wine. We realized that shopping on a bike requires special skills: don't buy too much as you have to carry it all the way to your destination.

We cycled along very nice sceneries along the river and admired the caves in the mountains around us that are now used to store wine, but we were not able to visit as we were too late in the afternoon, they were all closed. After a very steep path downhill we arrived at Rochecorbon.

The last part of that day was easy, we cycled along the Loire, and arrived at our Airbnb address: Bernadette's place.

Bernadette is a very lovely lady, who even put her car on the street to allow our bicycles to be stored inside her garage.

We finally had dinner in a real restaurant that night in the centre of Tours. The address was given by our host. It was great.

We slept very well and arranged our own breakfast with our Lidl groceries, while Bernadette provided coffee and tea.

Het blijft een vaste dagtaak te zorgen dat je kunt aansterken middels de maaltijden.
Energie/brandstof wordt gedurende de dag vanzelf verbruikt. Geniet ervan.
