Chartres, Tours and Orléans with Anna

The last part of our cycling trip we followed a departemental road to Chartres. It wasn't the nicest route, but we wanted to get to Chartres on time. Regularly climbing again, a drop of rain every now and again and cars passing us.

No spectacular scenery anymore until we reached Chartres with its beautiful cathedral. We were glad that we had made it. We used the same B&B as on our first day. After freshing up, we went into the city center for dinner and found out that there was a yearly light festival that evening.

There were lots of people in the city center. We saw beautiful colour projections on various buildings, including the cathedral. There was a band playing live music. We enjoyed all of it very much and had a regional meal of lentils, potatoes and sausage (for me) in a local brasserie. And of course wine to go with it. We enjoyed the light shows some more, got cold, returned 'home' and went to bed. The next day we did some shopping with Lidl and LeClerc in the neighourhood and returned home safely.
