Thailand 2017

Yesterday after spotting the apes we went for our ride to Ao Nang, the minivan had 16 places, which, after a few stops, were all filled with mainly big guy's, so it was very crowdy, but in addition, most luggage were so big that only half of it could be placed in the trunk, so 6 big suitcases and 4 enormous backpacks had to be placed in between the passenger's and of course, as it was a jouney of 5 hours, everyone had a small bag on their lap with water and food. We had more or less good places, so no complaints. At our arrival at Ao Nang the driver left us somewhere on a big street, telling us that our resort was not far. After searching for sometime, (of course Google navigation never works when you need it most), we asked the tourist information nearby, and they told us we had to take a taxi or tuktuk because it was at least 3km away. Normally, that would be no problem, but with our luggage and a temperature of 33 degrees, not a good idea. We tried to bargain on the price of the Tuktuk, but did not succeed, so finally accepted our defeat and agreed.
Today, was our first encounter with the sea in Thailand, wonderful beaches and small islands, the sea was warm and nice.
To ensure we to have enough workout today we used bikes to go to the beach and had a short canoeing experience at the lagune of the Hotel.

Trouwens 3 km met de koffers had gekund ,en maar 33gr.fantasties .
Ik liep een paar dagen achter, maar lees net over jullie trekking tour. Pittig he, had jullie gelukkig wel voorbereid hihi. Het ziet er op dit eilandje niet druk uit. Niet te toeristisch zo te zien. Geniet maar lekker, hier regen en morgen storm voorspeld brrr
