Thailand 2017

Yesterday we booked our last journey before going back home.

This time we decided to visit the island of Koh Lanta, it is a nice and quiet island, far from the extensive tourism.

We booked a boat for today and did expect to be picked-up from our hotel at 9:30.

At 10:00 the pick up was still not there, so we started to get a bit worried, but finally at 10:15 a minibus came and took us to the boat that was expected to leave at 10:30.

Of course it did not.

Around 10:45 another boat arrived and it was a complete chaos because several persons from this new boat had to transfer to ours, while others were just getting off.

Finally around 11 we took off.

At Railay beach, there was a stop over, where lots of people came to our boat by longtail and others were getting off also on langtails, but different ones. Chaos again of course, specially because all these people had luggage that also needed to get off and on.

But all went well, which is amazing!!

The amount of luggage in the middle of the deck was enormous.

The first view of Koh Lanta was fantastic, white sandy beaches and old wooden houses. Very nice!!!

The hotel arranged for a pick-up at the pear, so no worries there, and around 2 pm we were installed for lunch in a very nice restaurant.

We decided to stay on Koh Lanta untill the final flight to Bangkok on February 28.

But there will still be stories to tell, no worries
