Chartres, Tours and Orléans with Anna

Day 2 of our French cycling tour. With all the wine and other alcoholic beverages Anja still had some difficulty to handle the food for lunch and as all shops and bakeries were closed or non existing, we only stopped for lunch at Bonneval.

We had a nice Salad with fish and scallops, bread and ice for dessert.

We visited the local church and found a baker that was open and bought some bread, which at that moment seemed overdone as we just had lunch. We finally arrived at 20:00 in Cloyes and were lucky to get a room in a hotel that normally closes at 19.00. We had booked it by phone in the afternoon and lucky for us the guy in charge waited for us.

The reason for the delay was due to us trying to avoid another steep hill and therefore lost our way and checked Google maps which sent us via a farm road which was finally impossible to ride and we had to go back a few km.

In Cloyes, on a Sunday evening, after 19:00, everything is closed, no restaurant or snackbar is open, therefore our dinner consisted of dry bread and water that evening, good thing we had bought that bread in the afternoon. Don't forget to watch the photo's and video's we made.
